About Us
we serve moms and babies
We are a home visitation program that serves pregnant moms and newborn babies living in Wayne, Oakland, Macomb, and Washtenaw County. In order to be in the program you have to qualify for medicaid.
Our Mission
To provide pregnant moms and newborn infants with the highest level of care. To ensure healthier pregnant Medicaid clients and infants and to help them remain healthy.
Our Story
We were founded in 2007 by our coordinator Connie Braxton and her husband Will Braxton. They have two children and have been serving moms and babies for several years! Connie and Will became interested in this program because of the high infant mortality in the state of Michigan. Connie is a CPST (certified child passenger safety technician), a CLS (certified lactacian specialist), and has a BSA in management and accounting, she has been working in the public health care field for the past 38 years. Connie is very involved in the community and sits on many board committes including: Great Start Foundation, a non-profit organization; Great Start LLG, S.E.M. MIHP Collabortive, and Michigan Home Visiting Committee.
